Tennessee Invention Convention™ is a 501(c)(3) affiliate of the non-profit STEMIE Coalition.
The term “STEMIE” incorporates an emphasis on Science, Technology, Engineering and Math ― as well as on Invention and Entreprenuership (hence STEM+I+E).
The STEMIE Coalition’s mission is to have every child in every school become an inventor/entrepreneur once, better twice, and instill problem-solving, critical-thinking, and creativity skills for life. It supports efforts within each state to bring invention education to its students.
In late spring, the Coalition puts on the National Invention Convention and Entrepreneurship Expo at the headquarters of the US Patent Office in Alexandria, VA. This event brings students from around the United States together, to share their inventions, celebrate their accomplishments, and inspire one another.
